Which group released the album Survivor in 2001 with Beyoncé as a member?
Answer
Destiny’s Child
Answer
Destiny’s Child
Destiny’s Child released the album Survivor in 2001 with Beyoncé as a member. The group’s third studio album arrived on May 1, 2001, through Columbia Records.
Survivor was the first Destiny’s Child album recorded by the trio of Beyoncé Knowles, Kelly Rowland, and Michelle Williams. Its title track became one of the group’s best-known songs, while “Bootylicious” and “Emotion” were also major singles. The album debuted at number one on the Billboard 200.
The group had originally included more members, including LaTavia Roberson and LeToya Luckett. The lineup changed before Survivor, which is why some early Destiny’s Child history can cause confusion. Beyoncé’s later solo career began while she was still associated with the group, but Dangerously in Love was her first solo studio album.
Survivor won the Grammy for Best R&B Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals in 2002. Destiny’s Child eventually became one of the best-selling female groups in music history.
