Which Greek hero was the son of Thetis and Peleus?

Achilles was the Greek hero born to Thetis and Peleus, and he became the greatest warrior of the Trojan War.

Thetis was a Nereid, a sea nymph and daughter of the ancient sea god Nereus. Peleus was a mortal king associated with the Myrmidons of Phthia and a famous Argonaut. Their marriage was celebrated by the gods, although the goddess Eris was not invited; her anger helped set in motion the contest that led to the Judgment of Paris and eventually the Trojan War.

Achilles was raised in Phthia and, in many traditions, educated by the centaur Chiron. In Homer’s Iliad, he commands the Myrmidons and kills Hector, Troy’s champion. The famous story that his only vulnerable spot was his heel comes mainly from later traditions, not from the Iliad itself. Theseus, Heracles, and Perseus were also major Greek heroes, but none was the son of Thetis and Peleus.
