Which Grammy ceremony featured Taylor Swift performing “august” live for the first time?

Taylor Swift performed “august” at the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards in 2021. The ceremony took place on March 14, 2021, and the song appeared within a medley with “Cardigan” and “Willow.”

The performance was notable because Swift had not yet toured Folklore when the Grammys were held. Instead, the staging presented the album’s songs in a connected cottage-and-forest setting, reflecting the record’s fictional and rustic atmosphere.

Swift performed with Folklore collaborators Jack Antonoff and Aaron Dessner. The ceremony also celebrated Folklore, which won Album of the Year. The song later appeared in the Folklore section of Swift’s Eras Tour, but that tour performance should not be confused with its earlier Grammy debut.
