Which Golden Globe did Pixar's Cars win for the 2006 film year?

Pixar's Cars won the Golden Globe for Best Animated Feature Film for the 2006 film year.

At the 64th Golden Globe Awards, held in January 2007, Cars won the newly established award for Best Animated Feature Film. It competed against films including Happy Feet and Monster House. The award recognized animated feature production rather than a song, screenplay, or live-action category.

The win was notable because it marked the first presentation of the Golden Globe award for Best Animated Feature Film. Cars had also received major recognition from other organizations, including an Academy Award nomination for Best Animated Feature.

The title is sometimes shortened in casual references to “Best Animated Film,” but the official Golden Globe category was Best Animated Feature Film. Pixar later won the category many more times with films such as Ratatouille, WALL-E, Up, and Toy Story 3.
