Which Golden Globe did Disney’s Frozen win in 2014?

The story behind the answer

Disney’s Frozen won the Golden Globe for Best Animated Feature Film in 2014.

The award was presented at the 71st Golden Globe Awards, honoring films released during 2013. Frozen competed in the animated-feature category and became the first Disney film to win that Golden Globe category. Its victory reflected the film’s strong critical and commercial reception during its initial theatrical run.

Frozen was also nominated for Best Original Song at the ceremony for “Let It Go,” but it did not win that category. The song award went to “Ordinary Love” from Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom.

The Golden Globe win is separate from Frozen’s later Academy Awards success. At the 86th Academy Awards, the film won Best Animated Feature and Best Original Song. These awards are frequently grouped together, but they were presented by different organizations at different ceremonies.
