Which girl group featured Beyoncé as a member before her solo career?

Beyoncé was a member of the girl group Destiny’s Child before beginning her solo career.

The group formed in Houston in the 1990s and originally performed under names including Girl’s Tyme. Its best-known lineup consisted of Beyoncé Knowles, Kelly Rowland, and Michelle Williams. Destiny’s Child became one of the most successful female groups in recording history.

The group’s major hits included “Say My Name,” “Survivor,” and “Bootylicious.” Beyoncé’s prominence in the group helped establish the vocal, performance, and visual style that later defined her solo work.

Some listeners remember earlier or changing lineups, which included LaTavia Roberson and LeToya Luckett. Destiny’s Child officially disbanded in 2006 after a farewell period, although the members have reunited for occasional performances.
