Which game mode in Rocket League uses a ball that damages the floor?

The story behind the answer

In Rocket League, Dropshot is the game mode that uses a ball capable of damaging the floor.

Dropshot was introduced in a March 2017 update and changes the usual goal-scoring formula. Instead of two conventional nets, the arena is divided into blue and orange halves made from hexagonal floor tiles. Players strike the ball across the field, trying to weaken the opposing team’s surface.

The ball becomes increasingly electrified when it is hit repeatedly without touching the ground. A more charged ball damages more tiles when it lands. Continued attacks can break open a hole, and a ball falling through that opening scores for the attacking team. After a goal, the defending side’s damaged floor resets, while damage on the scoring side remains.

Dropshot is often confused with Hoops because both replace traditional soccer-style play with unusual arenas and scoring rules. Hoops uses a basketball-inspired court and elevated baskets; it does not feature destructible flooring.
