Which game is played on the map Summoner’s Rift in professional esports?
Answer
League of Legends
Answer
League of Legends
League of Legends is the game played on the map Summoner’s Rift in professional esports.
Summoner’s Rift is League of Legends’ primary five-versus-five map and the standard battleground for the game’s major professional competitions. Two teams begin in opposite corners, defend their bases and attempt to destroy the enemy Nexus. The map is divided into three lanes and a jungle containing neutral objectives.
The map’s best-known major objectives include Baron Nashor and the elemental dragons. Teams use champions with different roles, including top laners, junglers, mid laners and bot-lane players. Professional matches are generally played on a modified competitive version with carefully controlled patches.
Summoner’s Rift is sometimes confused with Dota 2’s similarly structured three-lane map. Both games are multiplayer online battle arenas, but their terminology and objectives differ. League of Legends also has other maps and modes, including Howling Abyss for ARAM matches, while Summoner’s Rift is the central map for its esport.
