Allinol is the fuel brand central to the conspiracy in Pixar’s Cars 2.
Sir Miles Axlerod promotes Allinol as an alternative fuel during the World Grand Prix. The fuel is installed in participating race cars, and a hidden device causes some vehicles using it to behave violently or lose control. This turns the international race into part of a larger criminal scheme.
The plot uses Allinol to connect environmental marketing, corporate competition, and espionage. Mater discovers information about the fuel while trying to investigate what appears to be a series of racing accidents. The apparent public-relations campaign hides a plan designed to damage confidence in alternative fuels.
Allinol is fictional. It should not be confused with Dinoco, Lightning McQueen’s sponsor in the broader franchise, or Rust-eze, the sponsor associated with Lightning at the beginning of his career.
