Kristoff sings “Lost in the Woods” in Disney’s Frozen II.
The song appears while Kristoff is struggling to understand his relationship with Anna. Its dramatic presentation deliberately resembles the style of an emotional 1980s music video, creating a comic contrast with the film’s fantasy setting and Kristoff’s usually rugged personality.
Jonathan Groff provides Kristoff’s speaking and singing voice in the English-language film. Groff also performs the vocal parts of the reindeer during the sequence, extending the film’s playful treatment of Kristoff and Sven.
The song was written by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, who also wrote the music and lyrics for Frozen’s songs. “Lost in the Woods” is therefore a Kristoff number, not an Olaf song, even though Olaf has several prominent musical moments in the sequel.
