The Fortnite Battle Royale object that lets teammates revive eliminated squadmates is the Reboot Van.
Reboot Vans were introduced in an April 2019 update, changing what happened after a squadmate was fully eliminated. A surviving teammate can collect that player’s Reboot Card and take it to a van, then activate the van to bring the teammate back into the match. The revived player returns with limited equipment rather than keeping the full inventory from before elimination.
This mechanic is different from ordinary revival. A downed teammate can be revived directly by another player before being eliminated, while a Reboot Van is used after elimination. The distinction is a common source of confusion, especially because both systems restore a squadmate during the same match.
Reboot Vans are placed at fixed locations and can expose the reviving team to enemies. Their sound and activation sequence can reveal the team’s position, so reviving is often a risky strategic decision. Campfires heal, Vending Machines provide purchases, and Upgrade Benches improve weapons; none of those objects restore eliminated teammates.
