Which fictional character is revealed as the main villain in Pixar’s Cars 2?

Miles Axlerod is revealed as the main villain in Pixar’s Cars 2.

Axlerod presents himself as a former oil baron who became an electric car and created the World Grand Prix to promote Allinol, a new alternative fuel. The film later reveals that he is secretly behind the plot to discredit Allinol through attacks on racers using it.

His scheme is designed to make the world believe alternative fuel is dangerous, allowing conventional oil interests to remain powerful. The story mixes international racing with a spy adventure led by Finn McMissile and Holley Shiftwell, while Mater becomes involved after being mistaken for an agent.

Professor Zündapp and the lemon cars are major antagonists, but Axlerod is the mastermind. He is voiced by Eddie Izzard. The character’s identity is disclosed near the end of the film, making him distinct from the openly hostile racers.
