Which fictional Canadian comedy duo appears in South Park? Terrance and Phillip are the fictional Canadian comedy duo.

Terrance and Phillip are comedians whose in-universe program, The Terrance and Phillip Show, is adored by South Park’s children. Their trademark humor relies on deliberately crude jokes, especially exaggerated fart gags and stereotypical Canadian mannerisms.

They were introduced in South Park’s first season and became central to the feature film South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut. The film’s plot revolves around the children watching their movie Asses of Fire, which triggers a parental backlash against the duo and Canada.

The characters also function as a joke about South Park itself: creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone have described the pair as stand-ins for themselves. Viewers sometimes confuse them with the real Canadian comedy characters Bob and Doug McKenzie, who helped inspire the parody but are not the South Park duo.
