The Agnelli family is associated with Exor, the holding company linked to Ferrari and Stellantis.
Exor is controlled by Giovanni Agnelli B.V., the Dutch entity through which the descendants of Fiat founder Giovanni Agnelli hold their family stake. The Agnelli family’s industrial story began with Fiat, founded in Turin in 1899, and later broadened into a diversified investment portfolio.
Exor’s assets have included stakes in Stellantis, Ferrari, CNH Industrial, Juventus and the publishing group GEDI. John Elkann, a grandson of Gianni Agnelli, serves as Exor’s chief executive and is a leading representative of the family’s business interests.
A common mix-up is calling Exor simply Fiat. Fiat became part of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, which merged with PSA Group in 2021 to form Stellantis; Exor is the family investment company above several major holdings.
