Tadawul is the exchange where Saudi Aramco has its primary listing.
Tadawul is the name commonly used for the Saudi Stock Exchange, Saudi Arabia’s principal securities market. Saudi Aramco began trading there in December 2019 after its landmark initial public offering. The listing made the company one of the largest publicly traded businesses by market capitalization.
Saudi Aramco’s shares trade under the symbol 2222. The company’s size reflects its enormous oil and gas operations, but market capitalization still depends on the daily share price and the number of shares outstanding.
Tadawul is sometimes mistaken for a company or an index. It is the exchange itself; the Tadawul All Share Index is a separate market index tracking listed Saudi companies. Aramco’s listing also helped increase the international visibility of Saudi Arabia’s capital market.
