Which electric hypercar set a 1.74-second 0–60 mph acceleration claim?
Answer
Rimac Nevera
Answer
Rimac Nevera
The Rimac Nevera set a claimed 1.74-second 0–60 mph acceleration time.
Rimac presented the Nevera as a high-performance battery-electric grand tourer and began customer production in 2021. Its acceleration comes from four independently controlled electric motors, one driving each wheel. This arrangement allows precise torque control and enables all-wheel drive without mechanical driveshafts connecting the axles.
The Nevera’s name refers to a powerful Mediterranean storm, reflecting the Croatian company’s origins. Rimac Automobili developed the car in Croatia, and the model is closely related to the C_Two concept shown before production began. Its large battery and carbon-fibre structure contribute to both its performance and its high price.
Acceleration figures can vary with testing method, launch preparation, surface and whether rollout is excluded. The 1.74-second figure is therefore best described as the manufacturer’s or published test claim rather than a universal result under every measurement convention. The Pininfarina Battista uses related Rimac technology but is a separate car.
