Frozen Fever was the Disney Frozen short released before the 2015 live-action film Cinderella.
Frozen Fever premiered in theaters on March 13, 2015, playing before Cinderella. The short follows Elsa and Kristoff as they try to give Anna a birthday celebration. Elsa catches a cold, and each sneeze produces tiny snow creatures called snowgies, creating escalating comic problems.
The short reunited the principal Frozen voice cast, including Kristen Bell as Anna, Idina Menzel as Elsa, Jonathan Groff as Kristoff, and Josh Gad as Olaf. It also introduced the song “Making Today a Perfect Day,” written by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez.
Frozen Fever is sometimes confused with Olaf’s Frozen Adventure, which was released theatrically with Pixar’s Coco in 2017, or Once Upon a Snowman, a 2020 Disney+ short. The Cinderella connection is a useful way to distinguish Frozen Fever’s original theatrical release.
