Which Disney film was Frozen’s direct sequel?

Frozen II was the direct sequel to Disney’s Frozen.

Released in 2019, Frozen II continues the story of Elsa, Anna, Kristoff, Olaf, and Sven several years after the first film. The characters leave Arendelle and travel toward the Enchanted Forest after a mysterious voice awakens elemental forces in the kingdom.

The sequel expands the mythology of Elsa’s powers and explores the history of the Northuldra and Arendelle. It also introduces new songs, including “Into the Unknown,” “Show Yourself,” and “Lost in the Woods.” Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee returned to direct the film.

Frozen Fever and Olaf’s Frozen Adventure are related short films, not feature-length direct sequels. Frozen II is the official follow-up feature and continues the main narrative begun in the 2013 film.
