Kelly Rowland joined Beyoncé and Michelle Williams at the 2018 Coachella performance.
The reunion occurred during Beyoncé’s headline sets at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in April 2018. The trio performed Destiny’s Child songs including “Lose My Breath,” “Say My Name,” and “Soldier,” bringing the group’s best-known lineup together onstage.
Rowland, Beyoncé, and Williams are the members most closely associated with Destiny’s Child’s commercially dominant period. The group’s lineup changed several times in its early years, which is why former members LaTavia Roberson, LeToya Luckett, and Farrah Franklin are sometimes incorrectly named when this reunion is discussed.
The appearance was not a new Destiny’s Child release or a permanent reunion tour. It was a featured segment within Beyoncé’s solo headline performance. The festival set also included a large cast of dancers, a marching band, and references to historically Black college and university performance traditions.
