Answer
CSI: Cyber
Which CSI spin-off focuses on the FBI’s Cyber Crime Division? CSI: Cyber focuses on the FBI’s Cyber Crime Division.
The series follows Special Agent Avery Ryan, a behavioral psychologist and cybercrime investigator who leads an elite FBI team based at headquarters in Washington, D.C. Its cases involve crimes committed through computers, phones, networks, and other connected technologies rather than primarily physical crime scenes.
CSI: Cyber was the fourth series in the CSI franchise and starred Patricia Arquette as Avery Ryan. Ted Danson also joined the cast as D.B. Russell, carrying a character from the original CSI into the cybercrime-focused series. The show grew out of the season-14 CSI backdoor pilot “Kitty,” which introduced Ryan and her division.
CBS premiered CSI: Cyber in 2015 and canceled it after two seasons in 2016. It is easy to confuse the title with CSI: Miami or CSI: NY, but those shows keep the franchise’s traditional city-based forensic format. CSI: Vegas, meanwhile, is a later continuation of the original Las Vegas series, not the FBI cybercrime spin-off.
