Which CSI character was a veteran of the Seattle Crime Lab? D.B. Russell was a veteran of the Seattle Crime Lab.

D.B. Russell joined CSI: Crime Scene Investigation as a highly experienced laboratory administrator and investigator. Before taking charge of the Las Vegas crime lab, he had headed the crime lab in Seattle, Washington. That professional history distinguished him from the other listed characters and helped establish his authority when he arrived in the series.

Russell was played by Ted Danson and first appeared in season 12, following the departure of Gil Grissom and the interim leadership of Ray Langston. He became the Las Vegas laboratory's day-shift supervisor and later took on broader leadership responsibilities within the CSI world.

The other options have different roles. Conrad Ecklie was a Las Vegas CSI administrator and longtime internal rival to Grissom; Nick Stokes was a Las Vegas field investigator; and Raymond Langston was a former professor and CSI investigator. None was identified as the Seattle Crime Lab veteran.
