Which country legend hosted The Glen Campbell Goodtime Hour from 1969 to 1972?

Glen Campbell hosted The Glen Campbell Goodtime Hour from 1969 to 1972.

The CBS variety show premiered in January 1969, during the height of Campbell’s popularity as a recording artist. It combined Campbell’s performances with comedy, guest appearances, and collaborations with stars from country, pop, and film.

Campbell’s relaxed style made the program a prominent example of the television variety format. Guests included major musicians and entertainers, giving viewers access to artists who did not always appear on country-specific programs.

The show is distinct from Hee Haw, the country-comedy series associated with Roy Clark and Buck Owens. Although both programs featured country music and comedy, The Glen Campbell Goodtime Hour was Campbell’s own CBS vehicle and ran for four seasons before ending in 1972.
