Which country hosted the 2019 Fortnite World Cup Finals?

The United States hosted the 2019 Fortnite World Cup Finals.

Epic Games held the inaugural Fortnite World Cup Finals at Arthur Ashe Stadium in New York City from July 26 to July 28, 2019. The event featured Solo, Duos, and creative and celebrity-oriented competitions, with a combined prize pool of 30 million US dollars.

Arthur Ashe Stadium is best known as the main tennis venue of the US Open, but it was converted into an esports arena for the Fortnite finals. The New York location made the event a major live spectacle as Fortnite’s competitive scene expanded beyond online qualifiers.

This question concerns the host country, not the winner. The Solo title went to Kyle “Bugha” Giersdorf, while the Duos title went to Nyhrox and Aqua. Those separate champions are commonly mixed up with the event’s location.
