Canada has the world’s longest international land border with a single country, the United States.
The Canada–United States border measures about 8,891 kilometres, including the 2,475-kilometre boundary between Canada and Alaska. It runs from the Atlantic Ocean to the Pacific Ocean and also reaches the Arctic Ocean through the border near Alaska and Canada’s northwestern territories.
The boundary is notable for being the longest international border between two countries and for having no regular military presence along most of its length. The Russia–Kazakhstan border is also extremely long, but it is shorter.
