Which company published Tetris 99 for Nintendo Switch?
Answer
Nintendo
Answer
Nintendo
Nintendo published Tetris 99 for the Nintendo Switch.
Tetris 99 was developed by Japanese studio Arika and released as an online multiplayer adaptation of Tetris. Nintendo handled publication and made the game available as a free digital download for Nintendo Switch Online subscribers.
The publisher is sometimes confused with the developer because both companies are prominently associated with the game. Arika created the software, while Nintendo published it and released it as a Switch-exclusive title. The game later received paid Big Block downloadable content and a physical edition in selected markets.
Tetris 99 was announced during a Nintendo Direct on February 13, 2019, and became available later that day. Its presentation helped popularize a battle-royale version of Tetris, with players attacking one another by sending garbage lines and competing to be the last survivor.
