505 Games published and distributed Rocket League’s Collector’s Edition. The physical retail edition was announced in February 2016 and released in Europe on June 24, 2016, followed by North America on July 5. It was sold for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
The package bundled Rocket League with its first three downloadable content packs: Supersonic Fury, Revenge of the Battle-Cars, and Chaos Run. It also promised four additional cars as downloadable bonuses: Aftershock, Marauder, Esper, and Masamune.
Psyonix remained the game’s developer and original publisher, so 505 Games’ role can be confused with Psyonix’s. Later, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment took over publishing an updated physical edition for the consoles, but that was a subsequent release, not the original Collector’s Edition.
