DNEG handled the film's visual-effects work, with Andrew Jackson serving as visual-effects supervisor. The production also used practical techniques extensively, so the final imagery combined digital work with animatronics, puppetry, physical sets, and on-set performances.
The film's creatures were not all made in the same way. The Cyclops used animatronics and puppetry, while Scylla was predominantly digital.
