LVMH owns the luxury jewelry brand Tiffany & Co.
LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton acquired Tiffany & Co. in 2021 in a transaction valued at approximately $15.8 billion. The purchase added one of the world’s best-known jewelry houses to LVMH’s large portfolio of fashion, jewelry, watches, wines, spirits, and cosmetics brands.
Tiffany & Co. was founded in New York City in 1837 by Charles Lewis Tiffany and John B. Young. The company became famous for high-end jewelry, engagement rings, and its distinctive robin’s-egg blue branding.
Tiffany is sometimes grouped with competitors owned by Richemont or Kering, but those are separate luxury groups. LVMH’s ownership followed a public takeover process and expanded its presence in fine jewelry.
