LVMH owns the luxury brands Louis Vuitton, Dior, and Bulgari.
LVMH is the abbreviation for Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton, a French multinational group organized around luxury goods. Its portfolio spans fashion and leather goods, wines and spirits, perfumes and cosmetics, watches and jewelry, and selective retailing.
The group was formed in 1987 through the merger of fashion house Louis Vuitton and wine-and-spirits company Moët Hennessy. Bernard Arnault became its leading executive and has overseen the expansion of its brand portfolio.
LVMH is sometimes confused with Kering, another major French luxury group whose brands include Gucci, Saint Laurent, and Balenciaga. Bulgari joined LVMH in 2011, strengthening the group’s position in high-end jewelry and watches.
