Apple manufactures the iPhone, iPad, and Mac computer.
Apple was founded in 1976 by Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak, and Ronald Wayne. Its early products were personal computers, including the Apple II and the Macintosh. The company later built an integrated ecosystem combining hardware, operating systems, services, and digital distribution.
The iPhone launched in 2007 and became Apple’s most important product line. The iPad followed in 2010, while the Mac name covers Apple’s personal-computer family. These brands are sometimes confused with Apple’s services, such as the App Store, Apple Music, and iCloud; those services support the hardware ecosystem but are not separate manufacturers.
Apple designs many of its chips and operating systems in-house, while manufacturing is performed through a global supplier network. Its shares trade on the Nasdaq under AAPL, and its headquarters are at Apple Park in Cupertino, California.
