Which company developed Tomb Raider: Underworld?
Answer
Crystal Dynamics
Answer
Crystal Dynamics
Crystal Dynamics developed Tomb Raider: Underworld.
Tomb Raider: Underworld was released in 2008 as the third main-series game developed by Crystal Dynamics. It continued the modern interpretation of Lara Croft introduced in Tomb Raider: Legend and Tomb Raider: Anniversary.
The game follows Lara's investigation into Norse mythology and the disappearance of her mother. Its levels take Lara to locations including the Mediterranean, Thailand, Mexico, and the Arctic. The story also connects to the mythology surrounding Thor's hammer, Mjolnir.
Eidos Interactive published the game, which is why publisher and developer credits are sometimes mixed up. Core Design developed the original run of Tomb Raider games, while Crystal Dynamics became the principal developer for the series beginning with Legend. Nixxes later became known for PC and console ports of several Tomb Raider titles.
