Apple created the iPhone and was co-founded by Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak, and Ronald Wayne.
Apple was established in 1976 in Los Altos, California. Its first product, the Apple I, was designed by Wozniak and sold as a single-board computer. The Apple II helped make personal computing accessible to a much larger audience during the late 1970s and early 1980s.
The company released the Macintosh in 1984, introducing a graphical user interface and mouse-driven interaction to a broad consumer market. In 2007, Apple introduced the iPhone, combining a mobile phone, internet device, and touchscreen media player.
Ronald Wayne left the partnership soon after its creation, so he is less commonly associated with Apple than Jobs and Wozniak. Apple’s headquarters are now in Apple Park in Cupertino, California.
