Which company co-developed Pokémon Pokopia with Game Freak?
Answer
Omega Force
Answer
Omega Force
Omega Force co-developed Pokémon Pokopia with Game Freak.
Omega Force is Koei Tecmo’s development studio, known especially for action and sandbox-oriented projects. Its involvement gave Pokopia a partner with experience in building interactive worlds rather than focusing only on traditional monster-battling design.
Game Freak originated the Pokopia concept during development of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. Shigeru Ohmori imagined a Pokémon game centered on creating habitats, while Game Freak sought outside help because it had less experience with the sandbox genre.
Koei Tecmo’s Omega Force was recommended for that role partly because of its previous work on Dragon Quest Builders 2. Pokopia therefore combines Game Freak’s Pokémon expertise with Omega Force’s experience in construction-focused gameplay. A common mix-up is naming Koei Tecmo as the developer; Koei Tecmo is the parent company, while Omega Force is the specifically credited development studio.
