Apple became the first publicly traded company to reach a $3 trillion valuation at the end of a trading day.
Apple achieved the closing milestone on June 30, 2023. Its shares finished high enough that the total value of all outstanding Apple shares exceeded $3 trillion, making the company the first to sustain that level through a market close.
Apple’s market value had previously touched $3 trillion intraday on January 3, 2022, but the stock did not finish that session above the threshold. The distinction is important because closing valuations are easier to compare across companies and dates.
Apple’s valuation has been supported by its integrated hardware and software ecosystem. The iPhone remains central, while services, wearables, Macs, and iPads provide additional revenue streams and deepen customer loyalty.
