Apple became the first public company valued at more than $3 trillion in the United States.
Apple first touched the $3 trillion market-cap level during trading on January 3, 2022, making it the first U.S. public company to reach that valuation. Its shares had risen strongly as investors continued to value the company’s hardware ecosystem and services growth.
The company’s products include the iPhone, Mac computers, iPad tablets, Apple Watch, and AirPods. Apple also operates major subscription and platform businesses through services such as the App Store, Apple Music, and iCloud.
This milestone is sometimes stated imprecisely as a $3 trillion closing record. Apple’s first intraday touch occurred in January 2022, while its first close above the threshold came later, in June 2023.
