Which college did Georgia O'Keeffe attend when Arthur Wesley Dow taught her in 1914?

The story behind the answer

Georgia O'Keeffe attended Teachers College, Columbia University, when Arthur Wesley Dow taught her in 1914.

O'Keeffe studied at Teachers College in New York in 1914 and 1915. There she encountered the ideas of Arthur Wesley Dow, an influential artist and educator who stressed composition, design, and personal expression rather than simply copying nature.

Dow’s teaching became a turning point. O'Keeffe began creating abstract charcoal drawings that explored line, rhythm, and form. She sent some of these drawings to her friend Anita Pollitzer, who showed them to Alfred Stieglitz. Stieglitz exhibited them in 1916, helping launch O'Keeffe’s professional career.

Teachers College is part of Columbia University, but it is not the same institution as Barnard College or Columbia College. O'Keeffe had earlier attended the University of Virginia as a summer student and had studied at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and the Art Students League.
