Which college did Georgia O'Keeffe attend from 1905 to 1906?

The story behind the answer

Georgia O'Keeffe attended the School of the Art Institute of Chicago from 1905 to 1906.

She studied at the school after graduating from Chatham Episcopal Institute in Virginia. Her Chicago training gave her an early foundation in academic art, including drawing and painting from observed subjects.

O'Keeffe later attended the Art Students League in New York, where she studied under William Merritt Chase and won a scholarship for a still-life painting. Those years came after her Chicago studies and are therefore a frequent source of confusion.

Her education eventually moved beyond academic realism. Around 1915, she began producing highly abstract charcoal drawings that attracted Alfred Stieglitz’s attention and helped launch her modernist career.
