Which club won the 2010 NRL Grand Final against the Sydney Roosters?
Answer
St George Illawarra Dragons
Answer
St George Illawarra Dragons
St George Illawarra Dragons won the 2010 NRL Grand Final against the Sydney Roosters.
The Dragons defeated the Roosters 32–8 at Stadium Australia in Sydney. The victory delivered the club its first premiership since the joint venture between St George and Illawarra was formed in 1999.
St George Illawarra had finished the regular season as minor premiers and carried that form into the finals. The team was coached by Wayne Bennett, while captain Ben Hornby led the side on the field.
The 2010 decider is sometimes discussed alongside Melbourne’s stripped 2010 premiership. Melbourne’s results were removed because of salary-cap breaches, but St George Illawarra won the grand final played on the field.
