Which club signed Daniel Peretz permanently from Bayern Munich in 2026?
Answer
Southampton
Answer
Southampton
Southampton signed Daniel Peretz permanently from Bayern Munich in 2026.
Southampton announced the Israeli goalkeeper’s permanent transfer from Bayern Munich on 5 June 2026. Peretz signed a four-year contract after spending the second half of the previous season on loan at St Mary’s, where he established himself as Southampton’s first-choice goalkeeper.
The move followed an earlier loan spell at Hamburger SV during the first half of the campaign. Peretz joined Bayern from Maccabi Tel Aviv in August 2023 and made seven appearances for the German club, while also winning the Bundesliga title in 2024–25.
At Southampton, Peretz played every minute of the club’s 21-match unbeaten Championship run and kept eight clean sheets during that sequence. The common mix-up is treating the January move as permanent: that transfer was only a loan; the permanent Southampton signing was completed in June.
