Brentford scored three goals against Tottenham Hotspur in the 2026–27 Premier League opening round.
Brentford hosted Tottenham on Saturday 22 August 2026 and won 3–0. The result gave Brentford three points and a positive goal difference while Tottenham began the campaign without a goal.
The match was the Saturday evening fixture in the opening round. Brentford’s home venue, Brentford Community Stadium, is one of the newer grounds in the Premier League and has hosted top-flight football since the club’s promotion in 2021.
This result is easy to confuse with Brighton’s 4–0 victory over Aston Villa because both were substantial home wins during the same round. Brentford’s scoreline was three goals, while Brighton’s was four, and both winners kept clean sheets.
