Which clothing brand's logo features the silhouette of Monte Fitz Roy?

The story behind the answer

Patagonia is the clothing brand whose logo features the silhouette of Monte Fitz Roy.

The jagged mountain skyline appears above the Patagonia name in the company’s best-known logo, usually shown against bands of sunset-like color. Monte Fitz Roy, also called Cerro Chaltén or Mount Fitz Roy, rises in the Southern Andes near El Chaltén, on the Argentina–Chile border. Its sharp profile gives the emblem a much more specific origin than a generic mountain icon.

Founder Yvon Chouinard encountered the peak during climbing trips in Patagonia and named his clothing company after the wider region. The logo’s design emerged in the 1970s as the company developed from a climbing-equipment business into an outdoor-apparel brand. It therefore serves both as a place reference and as a statement about the company’s mountaineering roots.

Arc’teryx’s fossil logo, Columbia’s geometric emblem, and The North Face’s quarter-circle mark are unrelated designs. Another small point of confusion is that the logo depicts a skyline or profile of the Fitz Roy massif, not necessarily a photograph of one isolated peak.
