Which city is the setting for most of Assassin's Creed Brotherhood?

The story behind the answer

Rome is the setting for most of Assassin's Creed Brotherhood.

The game continues Ezio Auditore's story after Assassin's Creed II. Ezio travels to Rome to weaken the Borgia family, whose political and military power dominates the city. The campaign includes missions involving Cesare Borgia, Rodrigo Borgia, and the rebuilding of the local Assassin Brotherhood.

Rome is presented as a large open-world city containing famous landmarks and districts, including the Colosseum, the Pantheon, the Vatican area, and Castel Sant'Angelo. Players can liberate districts, recruit new Assassins, and send them on missions across Europe. A short opening section also returns to Monteriggioni, but Rome is the central location.

Brotherhood was released in 2010 and was the first main series title to include competitive multiplayer at launch. Constantinople is the principal setting of Assassin's Creed Revelations, while Florence and Venice are especially associated with Assassin's Creed II.
