Here, “London” refers to the host city, while London Stadium is the venue. The meet has also previously been promoted under names such as the London Grand Prix, Anniversary Games, and London Diamond League.
London’s place on the calendar reflects the city’s deep athletics history. The meeting dates back to 1953 and became part of the Diamond League when that series launched in 2010. Although some editions were temporarily staged outside London—including Glasgow in 2014, Gateshead in 2021, and Birmingham in 2022—the 2026 schedule identifies the host city as London.
