Which city hosted the 2022 Grammy Awards after the ceremony was postponed?

The story behind the answer

Las Vegas hosted the 2022 Grammy Awards after the ceremony was postponed.

The 64th Annual Grammy Awards were originally scheduled for January 31, 2022, at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. The Recording Academy postponed the event because of public-health concerns and moved it to April 3, 2022, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

The relocation was historically notable because the Grammys are strongly associated with Los Angeles, where many ceremonies have taken place. Trevor Noah hosted the event, and Jon Batiste won Album of the Year for We Are. The ceremony therefore combined a temporary venue change with a major awards result.

Las Vegas should not be confused with New York City, which hosted several earlier Grammy ceremonies, or with Los Angeles, the planned 2022 location. The city change applied to the 2022 ceremony, not to the Grammys permanently.
