Which city did Georgia O'Keeffe move to in 1918 after Alfred Stieglitz invited her?

The story behind the answer

Georgia O'Keeffe moved to New York City in 1918 after Alfred Stieglitz invited her.

Stieglitz, the influential photographer and gallery owner, had exhibited O'Keeffe's abstract drawings before meeting her in person. His invitation brought her from Texas, where she had been teaching, to Manhattan, the center of the American avant-garde art world.

In New York, O'Keeffe lived and worked in a close artistic partnership with Stieglitz. He presented her work at his galleries and photographed her extensively, helping make her a prominent figure in American modernism. They married in 1924.

New York remained important to O'Keeffe, but it was not her only artistic setting. She later found lasting inspiration in New Mexico, which became strongly associated with her mature work.
