Which chocolate confection did H. B. Reese introduce in 1928?

The story behind the answer

H. B. Reese introduced Reese's Peanut Butter Cups in 1928.

Harry Burnett Reese, a former dairy farmer and employee of Milton S. Hershey, began making candy independently in the 1920s. His most successful creation combined a sweet peanut-butter center with a chocolate coating, usually presented in a small cup-shaped format.

The product became part of the Hershey business after Reese's death, and the Hershey Company later acquired the H. B. Reese Candy Company. Reese's Peanut Butter Cups remain one of the best-known chocolate-and-peanut-butter products in the United States.

They are sometimes confused with other filled chocolate candies, but the defining combination is peanut butter inside a chocolate cup. Hershey's Kisses are a separate confection, introduced earlier and shaped as small wrapped drops.
