Keemun tea is famously produced in Anhui, a province in eastern China. The tea is associated especially with Qimen County, whose name is also romanized as Keemun and gives the tea its English name.
Keemun is a Chinese black tea traditionally made in the Qimen area of Huangshan prefecture. The region’s mountainous terrain, misty conditions, rainfall, and fertile soils help create the characteristics for which the tea is known. Its flavor is often described as smooth and aromatic, with fruity, floral, malty, or lightly smoky notes depending on the style and production.
