Which character uses the children's entertainer persona Johnny Karate?

The story behind the answer

Andy Dwyer is the character who uses the children’s entertainer persona Johnny Karate.

Played by Chris Pratt, Andy begins the series as Ann Perkins’s immature, unemployed boyfriend and later becomes a shoeshiner, Parks Department employee, musician, and devoted husband to April Ludgate. His goofy imagination and talent for improvisation eventually lead to the Johnny Karate persona.

In season seven, Andy hosts “The Johnny Karate Super Awesome Musical Explosion Show,” a public-access children’s program. The character combines songs, simple lessons, exaggerated enthusiasm, and Andy’s famously chaotic personality. The show becomes one of the many humorous ways the series depicts Andy turning his childish energy into a genuine career.

Johnny Karate is easy to confuse with Andy’s other alter egos, especially Burt Macklin, FBI, and the rock-band identity associated with Mouse Rat. Burt Macklin is Andy’s imaginary secret-agent persona, while Johnny Karate is his children’s entertainer identity. Chris Traeger, Ben Wyatt, and Tom Haverford never use the Johnny Karate character.
