Which character kills Chandler Groff in Outer Banks season 5?

Kiara Carrera kills Chandler Groff in Outer Banks season 5. She confronts him during the hurricane after tracking him to a stolen yacht near Blackstone Manor.

Kiara attacks Groff because he killed JJ in front of her at the end of season 4. During their final struggle, Groff tries to overpower her, but she uses the yacht’s rigging against him and cuts the cord holding him to the mast.

The mast falls on Groff as he sinks into the water. This action completes Kiara’s revenge mission, although the season also presents her later emotional healing as more important than revenge alone. Groff’s death is therefore distinct from JJ’s earlier death, which he caused.
