Chris Finch is described as David Brent’s “best friend” in The Office (UK).
Finch, usually called “Finchy”, is a Wernham Hogg sales representative played by Ralph Ineson. David talks about him with admiration and treats their friendship as proof that he is popular, confident and socially successful. The joke is that Finch rarely returns this admiration in a sincere way.
